Abstract
Public advisories serve as crucial tools for government transparency, accountability, and citizen engagement. This study examines how official advisories influence public trust and contribute to good governance within the local government workforce of Davao de Oro Province. Grounded in Social Capital Theory, Institutional Theory, and Governance Theory, the research explores the role of communication platforms in shaping public perception and government responsiveness. Utilizing a sequential explanatory mixed-methods design, the study combines survey data with focus group discussions to assess the effectiveness of advisories. The findings highlight the growing reliance on digital platforms for government communication while emphasizing the need for a multi-platform approach to ensure inclusivity. Despite the positive role of advisories in fostering public trust, challenges remain in message clarity, accessibility, and engagement. To address these gaps, the study proposes a Model for Good Governance of Public Advisories, advocating for transparent dissemination, proactive communication, and structured public feedback mechanisms. This research contributes to the discourse on public sector communication by providing a framework for strengthening advisory systems, enhancing trust, and improving governance outcomes in local government institutions.
