Abstract

In an era characterized by rapid digital transformation and global connectivity, Philippine Christian University (PCU) endeavors to position itself as a digital, borderless, multiversity institution. This thesis dissertation explores the establishment of a comprehensive data and analytics framework aimed at enhancing PCU's operational efficiency, academic excellence, and global competitiveness. The study begins by examining the landscape of higher education, emphasizing the transformative impact of data-driven decision-making and the imperative for institutions to adapt to technological advancements. Central to this transformation is the integration of a robust data governance structure that navigates the complexities of Philippine data privacy laws (Republic Act No. 10173) and international regulations, ensuring compliance while leveraging data for innovation. Organizational structures and governance frameworks suitable for PCU are analyzed to facilitate effective data management across its diverse campuses and international extension programs. The research identifies underutilized data sources within PCU and proposes strategies for harnessing this data through advanced analytics, predictive modeling, and decision support systems to optimize resource allocation, enhance student outcomes, and support strategic planning initiatives. Implementation strategies for advanced analytics tools and techniques, such as machine learning and predictive modeling, are explored to empower PCU in making informed decisions that drive institutional growth and excellence. The impact of the proposed data and analytics framework on PCU's transformation into a digital, borderless, multiversity institution is assessed, focusing on its implications for educational innovation, global outreach, and competitiveness in the higher education landscape. By addressing these facets, this dissertation aims to provide practical insights and recommendations for PCU and similar institutions seeking to establish and operationalize a data and analytics framework that fosters resilience, agility, and sustainable growth in an increasingly digital and interconnected world.
