Abstract

The Sexual Abuse Awareness Initiative in Barangay 171 Bagumbong, Caloocan City, seeks to raise community awareness about sexual abuse prevention through education. This study will use surveys and community activities to assess the effectiveness of the campaign. The research will provide important insights into community awareness levels and the effectiveness of awareness efforts. The project's findings will aid improve education and advocacy initiatives, resulting in a better knowledge of sexual abuse concerns and supporting future preventive efforts. The ultimate purpose is to increase awareness and understanding of these vital topics. This chapter presents the protocols and techniques used by the researchers to obtain the information required for this study. The researcher will use purposive sampling through the intentional selection of participants based on particular traits or standards pertinent to the study goals; as study participants, the researcher will employ six (6) Barangay Officials, nine (9) PNP Officers, and fifteen (15) who reside in Barangay 171 Bagumbong, Caloocan City. 30 Survey Questionnaires will be given to the respondents above.The ultimate purpose is to raise awareness and understanding about these essential topics. The majority of responders ranged in age from 19 to 28. Most participants identified as female. In terms of civil status, the majority were single, with the majority having graduated from college. A major concern highlighted was a lack of strong community participation in planning and implementing preventative programs. To remedy this, we advise holding frequent training sessions focusing on sexual assault awareness. These seminars attempt to improve understanding, encourage proactive involvement, and empower members of the community to participate in prevention activities. The proposed action plan for enhancing sexual abuse awareness in Barangay 171, Bagumbong, Caloocan City, includes raising Awareness through educational campaigns, training key community stakeholders, and creating support systems for survivors. It focuses on assessing community needs and strengthening local partnerships. The plan also aims for continuous monitoring and evaluation to ensure long-term sustainability and effectiveness in preventing sexual abuse and supporting survival.
