Abstract
Cybercrime is a broad term that encompasses various illegal activities carried out through digital networks and devices. These crimes often involve the use of technology to commit fraud, identity theft, data breaches, malware attacks, and other malicious acts. This study aimed to assess a comprehensive cybercrime awareness program in Barangay Nagkaisang Nayon, Novaliches, Quezon City, with a focus on advocacy, collaboration, and implementation planning. It also identifies key challenges and proposes recommendations for improvement. This study involved 50 respondents, consisting of 30 community residents, 10 barangay officials, and 10 members of the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group. A random sampling technique was employed to ensure fair representation of perspectives. The study used a quantitative research design, with data collected through a structured survey questionnaire. For the administration and retrieval of the instrument, the researchers personally approached the respondents, obtained informed consent, and distributed the surveys. Upon completion, the questionnaires were collected and securely stored to maintain confidentiality. The findings revealed that, in the assessment of the program, Advocacy received an overall weighted mean rating of 3.66, interpreted as Strongly Agree. Collaboration obtained an overall weighted mean rating of 3.62, also interpreted as Strongly Agree. Similarly, the Implementation Plan received a weighted mean rating of 3.62, indicating a Strongly Agree interpretation as well. Stay vigilant about online security, report any suspicious activity promptly, and actively share your experiences and feedback. Your insights play a crucial role in shaping effective cybercrime prevention strategies.
