Abstract

This study investigated the influence of smart systems on the academic achievements of top-performing academic track students at Bestlink College of the Philippines. With the increasing integration of digital tools in education, understanding their impact on student performance has become essential. The research examined the role of AI-driven platforms, Learning Management Systems (LMS), and other smart technologies in supporting and enhancing student learning outcomes. An evaluative-quantitative research design was used to assess the experiences of 173 high-achieving academic track students. Purposive sampling was applied to ensure the inclusion of participants who represent academically exceptional learners. A validated survey questionnaire served as the primary data collection tool, ensuring the reliability and accuracy of responses. Data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, and ranking to evaluate the influence of smart systems on academic performance. The findings revealed that smart systems have a positive impact by enhancing motivation and promoting self-regulated learning. These tools assist students in setting academic goals, organizing tasks, monitoring progress, and planning subsequent actions. Real-time feedback provided by smart systems was found to reduce stress and supplement the support of human instructors. However, challenges were also identified, including overdependence on technology, unequal access to digital tools, and inconsistent content relevance. This study offers valuable insights for educators, school administrators, and policymakers seeking to improve academic performance through the integration of smart educational technologies. Addressing technological limitations and ensuring equitable access are essential for maximizing the benefits of smart systems in the learning environment.
