Abstract

This study assessed the facilities of Irish Ville Garden Resort to examine their impact on guest satisfaction and generate recommendations for improvement. The study employed a descriptive-correlational research design. Data were gathered from fifty (50) guests through a structured questionnaire, focusing on five major facilities—restrooms, swimming pools, shower areas, cottages, and accommodation rooms—alongside satisfaction factors such as service quality, guest engagement, and physical environment. Findings revealed varied satisfaction levels. Restrooms and shower areas received lower ratings due to concerns about cleanliness, privacy, and maintenance. In contrast, swimming pools, cottages, and accommodation rooms were generally rated satisfactory, particularly in terms of cleanliness, comfort, and ambiance. Among the determinants of satisfaction, professionalism and friendliness of staff, safety, and ambiance emerged as the most valued factors. The results also indicated a significant relationship between the condition of facilities and guest satisfaction, confirming that proper maintenance and facility quality directly influence the overall guest experience. The study identified several challenges including poor cleanliness, inadequate maintenance, limited comfort, and insufficient space in certain areas. To address these issues, the study recommends strict adherence to sanitation and maintenance protocols, continuous staff training, and the implementation of a facility development plan to enhance both physical conditions and service delivery. Overall, the findings highlight that well-maintained facilities and continuous improvements are essential for increasing guest satisfaction, sustaining competitiveness, and fostering customer loyalty. Addressing these concerns will enable the resort to strengthen its reputation, attract repeat visitors, and remain competitive in the hospitality industry.
