Abstract

Secret Falls in DRT, Bulacan must regularly improve their recreational offerings to sustain visitor satisfaction and stay competitive, especially in ecotourism. Secret Falls in DRT, Bulacan is popular for its natural beauty and accessibility, yet limited research explores how its activities affect tourist satisfaction. This gap makes it unclear which activities visitors value most and what improvements are needed. This study evaluates the site’s recreational activities, identifies those contributing most to satisfaction, and suggests enhancements to improve the overall tourist experience sustainably. A descriptive research design was used to gather and analyze data on recreational activities at Secret Falls. Convenience sampling selected fifty tourists who experienced the site’s attractions. Structured survey questionnaires collected information on activities joined, satisfaction levels, and suggestions for improvement. The data were organized and analyzed to determine patterns, visitor preferences, and areas needing enhancement, providing both quantitative and qualitative insights into tourist experiences. The findings showed that recreational activities at Secret Falls generally enhance tourist enjoyment and satisfaction. Nature-based activities such as swimming, trekking, sightseeing, and relaxation were the most preferred and highly rated. Visitors appreciated the scenic views, peaceful atmosphere, and opportunities for outdoor activity. However, concerns were raised about facility maintenance, cleanliness, safety guidelines, and the need for more diverse activities for different age groups. Although most tourists were satisfied, many expressed a desire for improvements to further enrich their overall experience. The results indicate that Secret Falls has strong potential as a sustainable ecotourism destination, but strategic improvements are needed to maximize this potential. Upgrading facilities, strengthening safety measures, enhancing environmental management, and adding diverse recreational options for various visitor groups may increase satisfaction and repeat visits. Although limited by a small sample and convenience sampling, the study offers useful insights for tourism planners. Future research should include larger samples and comparative studies to support sustainable tourism planning.
