Abstract
Urban green spaces are important in busy cities because they help improve the environment, support people’s mental well-being, and promote sustainable tourism. Arroceros Forest Park, often called Manila’s last “green lung,” offers a peaceful space where visitors can relax and reconnect with nature. Despite its importance, there is limited research about how satisfied visitors are with their experiences and with the services provided in the park. This study aimed to fill that gap by examining tourist satisfaction in terms of accessibility, available activities, and customer service, as well as identifying common issues that may affect the overall visitor experience. Understanding these aspects is important to help the park remain relevant and continue contributing to urban tourism. The study used a quantitative descriptive research design. A total of 100 local tourists were randomly selected to answer structured survey questionnaires conducted on-site in September 2025. The instrument consisted of demographic profiling, satisfaction indicators, and identification of problems encountered. Statistical tools such as frequency distribution, percentage, weighted mean, and ranking were used to analyze the data using a four-point Likert scale. Findings revealed that most respondents were aged 18–25 years 72%, primarily visiting the park to unwind. The overall satisfaction composite mean was 3.36, interpreted as Strongly Agree, indicating high satisfaction. Accessibility received the highest mean 3.50, followed by activities 3.33 and customer service 3.24. Visitors expressed strong satisfaction with cleanliness, staff friendliness, and the park’s natural environment. However, dissatisfaction was noted in the lack of guided tours 2.45 and delayed responsiveness to concerns 2.44. The most common problems encountered were noise 29.11%, lack of facilities 27.70%, and crowding 14.55%. The study concluded that while Arroceros Forest Park generally provides a positive and satisfying experience for visitors. However, enhancing facilities, organizing more structured programs, and improving service responsiveness can further strengthen visitor satisfaction and support the park’s long-term sustainability in Manila’s urban tourism setting.
