Abstract

This study examined visitor management at Star City as a tool for sustainable tourism development. It evaluates current practices such as crowd control, safety, customer service, and ticketing, identifies gaps, and proposes innovative solutions like digital integration and sustainable strategies to improve visitor flow, satisfaction, and long-term growth. This study followed a descriptive research strategy. Sunaina Singh (2023) defines descriptive research as a methodological approach that seeks to depict the characteristics of a phenomenon or subject under investigation. It uses a descriptive quantitative design with 50 visitors selected via convenience sampling. Data were collected through a validated survey questionnaire (three parts: demographics, 4-point Likert scale, and challenge checklist), administered face-to-face with consent and confidentiality ensured. Bhandari (2020) defines quantitative research as the collection and analysis of statistical data to identify patterns and averages, make predictions, evaluate causal linkages, and generalize conclusions to larger groups. Effective visitor management is essential to improve guest experience and operational efficiency. Based on the study Visitor Management Strategies of Star City in Pasay: Basis for Enhancing Tourist Experience, this proposal presents an enhancement plan addressing key areas for improvement at Star City. The plan focuses on nine key areas, including strengthened safety and security, improved crowd and queue management, streamlined online ticketing and purchase confirmations, and enhanced comfort and accessibility. These strategies aim to create a safe, smooth, and enjoyable environment that increases visitor satisfaction, encourages repeat visits, and expands the park’s market reach. In conclusion, the study findings suggest that while Star City tourists generally perceive the given services positively, certain areas like safety and crowd management require focused development. The large number of visitors during busy times causes issues that affect both visitor comfort, safety standards, and emergency response efficacy. Although no serious payment or technical issues were discovered during the investigation, safety standards should be improved and adequate crowd control tactics adopted to improve visitor experiences. These areas require improvement because they will preserve visitor happiness and assist build Star City as a top tourism attraction.
