Abstract
QR code-based refill ordering has become a vital technology for restaurants, offering a contactless and convenient way for customers to request more food by scanning a QR code with their mobile devices. This system enhances communication between diners and staff, reducing wait times and minimizing order errors. It allows customers to make requests at their own pace, creating a more comfortable dining experience. For restaurant staff, it improves order management and service efficiency, especially during busy periods. Overall, QR code refill systems help modern restaurants meet customer expectations for speed, accuracy, and convenience, ensuring smoother and more organized service. A descriptive study at Yoshimeatsu in South Caloocan City examined the impact of a QR code refill system. Data from 60 dine-in customers was collected via a validated survey with closed and open questions and analyzed using frequency counts, percentages, rankings, and weighted means to assess customer perceptions. Results showed most users were young males aged 19-24, suggesting tech-savviness. The majority strongly agreed the system was easy to use, fast, accurate, and convenient, while still allowing for personal interaction with staff. The study provided a comprehensive overview of the system's practical use and its positive influence on the dining experience. The QR code system boosts efficiency and convenience, enhancing dining satisfaction through improved service quality, professionalism, and trust. However, challenges include menu navigation difficulties and peak-hour service disruptions. Customers value the system as a complement to, not a replacement for, personal interaction, suggesting a need to balance technology with human service for optimal experience. In conclusion, QR code refill ordering positively impacts customer satisfaction by boosting efficiency and convenience while maintaining a personal touch. Restaurants should prioritize clear menus, easy instructions, and consistent service to maximize digital ordering benefits. Supporting staff and ensuring smooth system operation are vital. Balancing technology with personalized service enhances the dining experience and meets evolving customer expectations. This research offers insights for integrating digital solutions without losing the personal connection diners value, fostering a modern, customer-centric environment.
