Abstract
The hospitality industry is a dynamic yet labor-intensive sector that continues to face high employee turnover, affecting service quality and long-term sustainability. Employee motivation and job satisfaction are critical to organizational success, yet maintaining a committed workforce remains challenging due to changing expectations, global competition, and operational pressures. This study aimed to provide practical recommendations to strengthen talent retention strategies in the Philippine hospitality sector. A correlational research design was used. Through purposive sampling, 50 housekeeping employees were selected as respondents. Data were gathered using a structured survey questionnaire composed of four sections identifying workplace challenges and suggestions to improve motivation, job satisfaction, and retention. Findings indicate that motivation and job satisfaction significantly influence employee retention and intention to stay. Employees believe career advancement can be achieved through strong performance, training, leadership support, and experiential learning. They emphasized the importance of skill development and a supportive work environment with adequate tools and facilities. Competitive compensation and benefits were also identified as major factors affecting retention. The study confirmed a significant relationship between motivation, job satisfaction, and retention. Key challenges include workload distribution, limited career growth, inconsistent recognition, and insufficient managerial support. An employee retention program is recommended to enhance motivation, improve workplace conditions, and support long-term organizational stability.
