Abstract

Clean As You Go (CLAYGO) practices are widely encourage the food service establishments to promote cleanliness, operational efficiency, and shared responsibility between staff and customers. In coffee shop settings, CLAYGO practices encourage guest to dispose of their waste after dining. While this practice supports sanitation and sustainability goals, its influence on guest experience requires empirical examination. This study determined the impact of CLAYGO practices on guest experience among selected But First, Coffee branches and examined whether significant differences exist in the assessment of respondent groups. A quantitative descriptive design was employed. Data were collected through a structured survey questionnaire administered to selected customers. The instrument measured perceptions of CLAYGO practices and its impact on guest experience. Descriptive statistics and one-way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) were used to analyze the data and determine differences among groups. Statistical analysis revealed a significant difference among the groups’ assessments of the impact of CLAYGO practices on guest experience. The computed F-value of 5.3970 with a p-value of 0.0063 (p < 0.05) led to the rejection of the null hypothesis. The between-group sum of squares (2.4152) and within-group sum of squares (18.1237), with a total variation of 20.5389, indicate meaningful variation in perceptions. These findings confirm that CLAYGO practices significantly influence how guests evaluate their overall experience. The study concluded that effective CLAYGO practices has a statistically significant impact on guest experience. Variations among respondent groups highlight the need for clear communication and consistent practices execution. Strengthening practices strategies may enhance customer satisfaction and service quality in coffee shop operations.
