Abstract
This study examined the effectiveness of self-service systems in dining restaurants and their impact on staff efficiency. As the food service industry continues to evolve, many restaurants have adopted self-service options, buffet-style service to improve operational performance and customer experience. The primary objective of this research is to determine how self-service dining systems influence staff workload, task management, service speed, and overall productivity. By allowing customers to participate in the ordering and service process, self-service systems enable restaurant staff to focus on essential tasks such as food preparation, quality control, and customer assistance. The research used a descriptive quantitative design, with restaurant staff from dining establishments using self-service systems as respondents, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a validated survey questionnaire and analyzed using frequency, percentage, and weighted mean to interpret the results and determine the effectiveness of self-service dining in improving staff efficiency. The study's results were obtained through appropriate statistical methods and analyzed based on the established criteria. Effective customer awareness is fundamental to regulatory compliance, as informed customers are better equipped to understand their rights, responsibilities, and the implications of their actions. By prioritizing clear communication, education, and transparency, organizations can reduce compliance risks, foster trust, and promote ethical behavior while ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory frameworks.
