Abstract

This study examined the difficulties experienced by Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) officers in organizing extracurricular activities for senior high school students during academic year 2025–2026. It focused on activity goals, planning, student participation, barriers to implementation, and possible solutions. A quantitative descriptive design was used with 15 SSLG officers selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through a validated survey questionnaire and analyzed using frequency, percentage, ranking, weighted mean, and Likert-scale interpretation. SSLG officers strongly agreed that activity objectives were clear and aligned with student interests (composite mean = 3.62). They agreed that administrative approval and scheduling were important but reported difficulty with time allocation (composite mean = 3.48). They also anticipated increased attendance at future activities (composite mean = 3.57). Other challenges included unexpected problems, limited budgets, participation issues, time-management demands, and stress. The findings indicate that SSLG officers demonstrated commitment to planning but experienced operational and resource constraints. The proposed action plan may strengthen planning, communication, leadership, risk management, and student participation. Because the purposively selected sample was small, the results are context-specific.
