Abstract

The growing need for efficient academic research management exposes the limitations of manual and fragmented processes. At Bestlink College of the Philippines (BCP), the Center for Research and Development (CRAD) handles submissions, scheduling, and adviser coordination manually, causing delays, weak communication, and difficulty monitoring progress. This study developed an Intelligent Progressive Research Submission and Tracking System with AI analytics to address these issues. This study employed a developmental research design guided by Agile Scrum. The system was developed through iterative sprints covering requirements gathering, design, coding, and testing. Core modules included automated scheduling, adviser allocation, submission tracking, notifications, and analytics reporting. The system was deployed in a controlled environment to evaluate functionality, usability, and alignment with CRAD’s operational needs. Functional testing indicated that the system centralized research-management functions, including adviser assignment, milestone monitoring, submission tracking, scheduling, notifications, and analytics reporting. The system provides a centralized approach to scheduling, submission monitoring, adviser coordination, and research-progress reporting at CRAD. Because the evaluation was conducted in a controlled environment and no user-based or quantitative performance results were reported, claims of improved efficiency, communication, transparency, or research completion should be interpreted cautiously. Broader deployment and documented user evaluation are needed.
