Abstract

An electronic wallet (e-wallet) is a digital payment system that enables users to conduct financial transactions conveniently through mobile devices. With the rapid development of financial technology, e-wallets have become increasingly popular, particularly among college students who value convenience, speed, and accessibility. This study investigated the utilization of e-wallet payment systems among fourth-year Bachelor of Science in Business Administration students at Bestlink College of the Philippines. The study used a quantitative descriptive research design and a survey questionnaire. The respondents were two hundred fifty-four (254) college students at Bestlink College of the Philippines. The design involved systematic observation without manipulating variables and used survey data and available statistics. The source Methods section also cited Alawi et al. (2021) regarding the convenience of cashless transactions; this background statement requires relocation. The study results described the respondents’ age and gender profiles using frequency and percentage distributions. All 254 respondents were aged 18–34; no respondents were aged 34–54 or 55 years and above. Of the 254 respondents, 97 were male (38.19%) and 157 were female, indicating greater female participation by 55 respondents. The study identified key patterns in e-wallet adoption, perceived benefits, and barriers among Bestlink College students. The findings indicated strong positive perceptions of e-wallet usefulness and ease of use.
