Abstract

In the contemporary world of digital transformation, technology has played an important role in transforming the recruitment process by affecting how organizations recruit and evaluate potential employees. The introduction of the online hiring process has offered firms a more effective and quicker method to oversee talent delivery, especially in response to the increased demand for distant working and virtual cooperation. This is anchored on the Technology Acceptance Model. It aimed to determine applicants’ demographic profile, assess the effectiveness of the online hiring system, identify challenges encountered, and propose improvements to enhance recruitment practices. The study utilized a descriptive quantitative research design. Data were collected from 30 applicants who underwent the company’s online hiring process in 2025 using purposive sampling. A structured and validated survey questionnaire served as the primary data-gathering instrument. Statistical tools such as frequency, percentage distribution, and weighted mean were employed to analyze the data and measure the effectiveness of each recruitment dimension. Findings revealed that the online hiring process was generally effective. Convenience received a very effective rating, while efficiency, fairness and transparency, communication and feedback, satisfaction, and trust were rated effective. Despite the favorable assessment, applicants reported several challenges including technical issues, delayed employer responses, and concerns regarding job authenticity during the online recruitment process. The study concludes that online hiring systems play a vital role in modern recruitment by improving accessibility in application procedures. It is recommended that organizations strengthen communication, ensure transparency, and optimize digital hiring platforms to achieve a more efficient and applicant-centered recruitment experience.
