Abstract

This study evaluated the Philippine National Police's Anti-Drug Preventive in Barangay Kaligayahan, Quezon City, using a descriptive quantitative approach. It aimed to assess the campaign's effectiveness in increasing awareness and promoting behavioral change regarding illegal drugs. The 80 respondents(police, barangay officials, and residents), predominantly male, single, and college educated, generally "agreed" with the campaign's strategy, stakeholder, involvement, and mode of implementation. However, key challenges identified were poor program dissemination and lack of community consultation on scheduling. The research provides insights and recommendations to enhance the campaign's responsiveness, effectiveness, and sustainability in fostering a drug-free community. This quantitative descriptive study assessed an anti-drug campaign in Barangay Kaligayahan, Quezon City. It surveyed 80 purposively sampled respondents(residents, officials, police) on demographics, campaign assessment, and problems. Data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, weighted mean, and the Kruskal Wallis H Test. This study assessed the Anti-Drugs Preventive Education Campaign in Barangay Kaligayahan, Quezon City. Respondents, mostly male, single, college-educated, and aged 34–41, generally agreed with the campaign's strategies and methods, with no significant perceptual differences among groups. Key problems were poor information dissemination and lack of community consultation. A youth-focused campaign, "Kabataan Ligtas, Kinabukasan Tiyak," was introduced to address these issues. This study evaluated the Anti-Drugs Preventive Education Campaign in Barangay Kaligayahan, Quezon City, finding general agreement with its approach but significant issues with dissemination and community consultation. Recommendations focus on improving these aspects, along with engagement and funding, for a more effective campaign.
