Abstract
Juvenile delinquency is a persistent social concern associated with poverty, limited parental guidance, and inadequate access to education and recreational opportunities. The Mandatory Responsible Parenthood Program seeks to strengthen parents’ knowledge of their responsibilities and promote guidance, communication, and emotional and financial support for children. This study assessed the perceived impact of the program on juvenile delinquency prevention in Barangay Nagkaisang Nayon, Novaliches, Quezon City. The study used a quantitative design and gathered numerical data through surveys and an analysis of reported youth crime rates. Respondents aged 50 years or older comprised the largest age group (36%). Female respondents comprised 64% of the sample, 36% were single, and 44% had completed high school. Respondents strongly agreed that they were aware of the Mandatory Responsible Parenthood Program (3.40), that the barangay coordinated effectively with parents and guardians in implementing the program (3.26), and that implementation was fair, inclusive, and respectful of parents and families (3.32). Awareness of the Mandatory Responsible Parenthood Program received the highest mean rating. The findings suggest favorable perceptions of program awareness, barangay coordination, and inclusive implementation.
