Abstract

This study assessed the performance of the Role of Traffic Enforcers in Ensuring Road Safety in Barangay San Agustin Quezon City. Specially, it aimed to evaluate of Role of Traffic Enforces in terms of safety in security, resources, and effectiveness; determine the demographic profile of the respondents; identify problems encountered in traffic enforcers; examine significant differences exist in the respondents’ assessment; and proposed an campaign program to enhance the knowledge of the community about traffic enforcers in the area. A quantitative descriptive research design was employed data were gathered through a self-made survey questionnaire administered to one hundred twenty (120) respondents composed of forty (40) barangay employee, forty (40) puv drivers, forty (40) commuters selected through random and purposive sampling techniques. Statistical tools such as frequency, percentage, weighted mean, ranking. Findings revealed that the most respondents were aged 45-50 years of old, predominantly male and married and the most respondents in Educational Attainment is College Level and in the Length of Residency/ Years of Services the most respondents have a 10 years above reside. The Overall performance of the Role of Traffic Enforcers in Ensuring Road Safety in terms of safety and security was have weighted mean of (3.54) or signifies as “Strongly Agreed” and in terms of resource the highest have (3.31) or signifies as “Strongly Agreed” and in terms of effectiveness the highest have a (3.23). Significant results indicated statistically significant differences in the assessments of the respondents, leading to the rejection of the null hypothesis. The study concludes that while the Traffic Enforcers performs effectively in enforcing traffic rules and regulations, continuous improving implementation strategies and enhance road safety in San Agustin Quezon City. The findings, an campaign program was proposed to make sure that the community and other is to know what the right to do in road and make sure that the problem they encounter will be solved.
