Abstract

Nail-care education can support life skills, hygiene, discipline, self-confidence, and vocational preparation. It may introduce students to career opportunities in the beauty industry. Challenges include limited resources, insufficiently trained instructors, and unfavorable perceptions of vocational education. This study examined the DataBloom pamphlet as a supplementary instructional material for teaching nail care. The study used a quasi-experimental research design. Experimental and comparison groups completed pretests and posttests to measure learning outcomes. Surveys were also administered to gather students’ perceptions of the pamphlet’s contribution to their learning experience. The source methods section does not report the sample size, sampling procedure, group assignment, instruments, or statistical analyses. Students exposed to the DataBloom pamphlet reportedly demonstrated better performance and knowledge retention than those taught through the traditional approach. They also reported greater engagement, confidence, and interest in nail care. The pamphlet was perceived as providing a clear and engaging connection between theory and practice. School administrators are encouraged to support vocational programs responsive to different learning needs. Teachers may use varied instructional strategies, while students may identify approaches that support their learning. Parents may also support students’ vocational interests. Future researchers may develop digital or interactive versions of the material to align with 21st-century learning practices.
