Abstract

Manila City Ordinance No. 8772, the Anti-Loud-Pipe Ordinance, regulates noise from modified exhaust systems. This study assessed awareness, compliance, perceptions, and implementation challenges in Barangay 160, Zone 14, Rayabago Street, Tondo, Manila. It sought to identify enforcement gaps and inform measures for strengthening implementation. The study used a quantitative descriptive research design to collect measurable data on respondents’ awareness, compliance, and perceptions of Ordinance No. 8772. The source methods section does not report the sample size, respondent groups, sampling procedure, questionnaire, validation, data-collection process, or statistical treatments. The source reports that most respondents were young adults and expressed strong compliance and favorable perceptions regarding Ordinance No. 8772.
