Abstract
Based on the analysis of the development status and existing problems of service trade in Hunan Province, this paper selects four related indicators, such as service trade market openness, service output, foreign direct investment, and human capital, to analyze the international competitiveness of service trade in Hunan Province. A survey was conducted among respondents both within and outside Hunan Province. In this study, percentages were used to describe the profiles of the respondents regarding gender, education, age, geography, and scope of work. The weighted average method and ranking method were used to evaluate service trade market openness, service output, foreign direct investment, and human capital. Variance analysis was used to test differences in the evaluation of service trade market openness, service output, foreign direct investment, and human capital. Pearson’s correlation was used to test the relationship between service trade market openness, service output, foreign direct investment, and the identification and evaluation of human capital indicators. A total of 400 respondents were included in the study. The demographic analysis shows that the respondents’ evaluations can fully reflect the influence of various factors on the competitiveness of service trade from the perspectives of gender, education, age, region, and work category. A development plan for enhancing Hunan's service trade competitiveness is proposed. The study also identifies existing problems and provides relevant recommendations based on the conclusions.
