Abstract
Entrepreneurship has emerged as a key driver of economic growth, particularly among university students who are at the forefront of shaping future business landscapes. Despite the growing interest in entrepreneurship, there is limited research on the entrepreneurial aspirations of university students in Zhejiang Province, China. This study aims to fill this gap by exploring how various demographic factors influence entrepreneurial skills, orientation, and intention among university students in the region. The primary objectives of this study are to assess students' entrepreneurial skills, orientation, and intentions and to determine any significant relationships and differences based on their profiles. A descriptive-correlational design using a survey method was employed to gather data from 407 university students across Zhejiang Province. The respondents were selected using a random sampling technique to ensure a representative sample. The results revealed significant relationships between entrepreneurial skills, orientation, and intention, with students showing a strong sense of self-efficacy and autonomy in their entrepreneurial aspirations. However, the study also identified areas for improvement, particularly in students' decision-making skills and perceived desirability of entrepreneurship. This study contributes new insights into the entrepreneurial mindset of students in Zhejiang Province and highlights the importance of enhancing decision-making skills and promoting entrepreneurial intention. One key recommendation is to implement targeted workshops and mentorship programs to enhance decision-making skills and increase students' perceived desirability of entrepreneurship, ultimately fostering a more robust regional entrepreneurial ecosystem.
