Abstract
This study focused on the correlation between study habits and academic achievement among primary school students. A survey method, combined with an analysis of scholars’ transcripts, was employed to gather data from the research participants. Most students were found to have good academic habits, such as reviewing lessons and submitting assignments on time, but they also demonstrated poor time management skills and lack of focus due to distractions, mainly caused by insufficient teaching resources. Academic achievement was relatively good, and students had higher academic achievement if they had structured and stable study habits. The statistical analysis established a significant correlation between effective study habits and academic achievement, thus affirming that determination, proper time management, and the availability of a congenial learning environment are important contributors to students' success. This study found beneficial effects on students’ academic performance and suggests that targeted interventions for study skill training, parental involvement, and school support programs may have a desirable impact on students’ achievement. Suggested interventions include study skills workshops, greater parental involvement with children, and school-based mentoring programs.
