Abstract
The rapid advancement of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, along with China’s “Made in China 2025” Initiative, significantly influences the country’s education system. This study examines how these changes affect higher education in China, focusing on automation, artificial intelligence (AI), and digitalization. It also explores the challenges and opportunities in integrating advanced technologies and innovative educational practices. This study involves school leaders and instructors from two public universities and one private university, with a sample of 385 participants. Findings revealed that most educators were experienced professionals aged 30 to 50, with strong academic backgrounds. Opportunities included the use of digital tools to support entrepreneurship, enhance digital literacy, and promote social mobility. A strong relationship was identified between Industry 4.0 advancements and the integration of technology in education. To address the identified challenges, a structured development plan was proposed.
