Abstract

This study focused on the impact of digital art creation tools on the creative attitudes of students at Kunming Vocational College of Art within the context of artificial intelligence technology. The questionnaire survey method was adopted, and students from various art majors in the college were selected as research participants through stratified sampling. The Digital Art Creation Tool Application Scale and the Creative Attitude Scale were used to collect data. Descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and regression analysis were conducted with the aid of SPSS software. The research findings show that students generally held positive attitudes toward digital art tools in terms of usefulness and ease of use, particularly acknowledging their role in enhancing creative output, idea realization, and motivation. However, lower mean scores were recorded in areas such as creative efficiency, detail control, and inspiration retrieval, indicating specific gaps in tool application. Significant differences were found in students’ creative attitudes when grouped by gender and year level, while no significant variation was observed based on age or academic major. Furthermore, the study revealed a strong positive correlation between the degree of digital tool application and students’ creative attitudes. Based on these findings, targeted teaching strategies were proposed to address low-performing indicators, including workshops, tool-based challenges, AI integration, and experiential activities. This study contributes to the growing field of digital art education by offering practical insights and instructional models for improving creative engagement in technologically enriched learning environments, particularly in vocational institutions adapting to the rapid evolution of AI-assisted design.
