Abstract
Environmental planning plays a significant role in our society in promoting safety, reducing crime opportunity and help to maintain the environment. Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) is a strategy that focuses on modifying the physical environment to minimize the crime in the area while maintaining peace, safety and order within the community. The study aims to assess how the respondents evaluate the importance of enhancing CPTED strategies in reducing crime in the area particularly in Barangay Tigbe,Norzagaray,Bulacan. Specifically, it examine four strategies: spatial design and lighting, territoriality awareness, physical upkeep and community involvement and entry and exit management. The study utilized a descriptive research design to show the current situation of CPTED enhancement in the selected area. A purposive sampling technique was used to select fifty (50) respondents comprised of residents, barangay officials, and law enforcement officer, The data were collected using survey questionnaire and were interpreted through frequency, percentage, weighted mean, ranking, and analysis of variance (ANOVA) to identify the level of assessment and to verify significant difference among the respondents. The data revealed that the respondents generally agreed that CPTED strategies were implemented in Barangay Tigbe. The Spatial design and Lightning, Territorial awareness, and Entry and exit management received generally positive assessments. Demonstrating that these environmental features contribute in strengthening visibility , Enhancing territorial control, and Regulating movement within the community. Nevertheless, Physical upkeep and community involvement received the lowest ratings in between the variables, suggesting that environmental maintenance and the active participation of residents needed further improvement. Moreover, the ANOVA test results showed there was a significant difference in the assessment of the respondents, signifying the perceptions among residents, barangay officials, and law enforcement officer regarding the effectiveness of CPTED implementation. In conlusion, the study finds that even though these strategies perceived as one of the effective way in promoting safety environment and reducing the crime in the Barangay Tigbe, there still room for the improvement especially the physical upkeep and community involvement. By enhancing these strategies can help to improve the overall effectiveness of CPTED in the certain area.

The Ascendens Asia Singapore - Bestlink College of the Philippines Journal of Multidisciplinary Research Abstracts (AASGBCPJMRA) is a collection of abstracts of research papers presented during Multidisciplinary Research Fests (MRFs) mainly organised by Ascendens Asia Singapore as well as other research conferences in collaboration with various institutions and learned societies. MRFs provide opportunities for collaboration with a common prime objective of creating platforms for students, faculty, staff, and researchers alike from different institutions to interrelate/interact with their counterparts. MRFs are expected to aid and promote personality development and critical thinking as participants engage themselves in constructive discussions with other participating researchers.
