Abstract
This study assessed the tourist safety and security measures in Kamp-Kaka, Sapang Saging, Norzagaray, Bulacan, emphasizing their importance in promoting sustainable tourism and visitor satisfaction. As an emerging ecotourism destination, Kamp-Kaka attracts adventure-seeking tourists, yet safety and security remain critical factors influencing confidence, enjoyment, and return visits. The research aimed to identify existing safety measures, determine potential risks, and recommend improvements for sustainable management. The study was guided by Rogers’ Protection Motivation Theory, focusing on risk identification, emergency preparedness, and environmental safety management. The study employed a descriptive quantitative research design. It involved 80 respondents selected through simple random sampling. Data were collected using a validated researcher-made questionnaire that examined perceptions of safety gear, safety protocols, safety tools, and problems encountered. Statistical tools used included frequency, percentage, and weighted mean to interpret responses on a 4-point Likert scale. Findings revealed that safety gears and protocols were rated highly effective, with respondents affirming the availability, accessibility, and proper supervision of equipment. Visible measures such as lifeguards, safety marshals, and signage contributed positively to perceptions of safety. However, gaps were noted in surveillance, patrols, restricted area enforcement, and accessibility of safety tools such as first-aid kits and designated safety stations. The most common problems encountered included poor communication signals in critical zones, slippery pathways, absence of barriers, and delayed staff response. The study concludes that while Kamp-Kaka has established basic safety systems, improvements are necessary to ensure tourist confidence and satisfaction. Safety depends not only on the presence of equipment but also on consistent staff responsiveness, clear orientation, and visible enforcement. To address these gaps, the researchers proposed an enhancement plan including standardized safety briefings, regular inspection and maintenance of safety gear and infrastructure, improved communication systems, enhanced trail safety with barriers and signage, and stronger staff visibility in activity zones. These improvements aim to reduce risks, strengthen tourist confidence, and position Kamp-Kaka as a model for sustainable ecotourism development in Bulacan.

The Ascendens Asia Singapore - Bestlink College of the Philippines Journal of Multidisciplinary Research Abstracts (AASGBCPJMRA) is a collection of abstracts of research papers presented during Multidisciplinary Research Fests (MRFs) mainly organised by Ascendens Asia Singapore as well as other research conferences in collaboration with various institutions and learned societies. MRFs provide opportunities for collaboration with a common prime objective of creating platforms for students, faculty, staff, and researchers alike from different institutions to interrelate/interact with their counterparts. MRFs are expected to aid and promote personality development and critical thinking as participants engage themselves in constructive discussions with other participating researchers.
